At 1300 today Chatham fire was dispatched with Valatie Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc. and the New York State Police for a rescue call to assist with extrication. As a result of an accident on a farm, an employee became caught in a mechanical system causing serious injuries. Through combined efforts the employee was given first aid and transported via LifeNet of New York 7-1 to a hospital in stable condition.
